Dark Brahma
The Brahma is one of the largest chicken breeds. It was developed in the United States in the mid-1800s from big, feather-legged fowl imported from China through the port of Shanghai, and the Dark variety was developed in England. Brahmas have a small pea comb and feathered shanks and toes. In the Dark variety, the rooster has a silver-white head, neck and back with black-striped hackles and a black breast, and the hen is grey, finely pencilled with black or darker grey.
